Celebrated Veteran's Day today by heading down to the farm lands and salt lakes of Torrance County. It was a chilly 28 degrees F when we started, but that isn't anything compared to the frigid temps less than 100 miles further east. In fact it got up to 66 degrees compared to just the 30s in eastern NM.
We had a great day (more posts coming on all awesome birds today), but the best may have been last when we found this incredible adult Golden Eagle sitting on one of three crosses high on a hill. Then it was nice enough to fly off and circle directly overhead!
